    Civil War Schenkl Shell Frag Recovered at Gettysburg during the 1938 Reunion. This shell was recovered on The Gettysburg Battlefield during the preparations for the 75th Anniversary of The Battle. It was listed as a Confederate relic but could be Union or Confederate. This piece came out of the GAR post of General Joshua Chamberlain of Maine, The Mountfort Post Department of Maine. The shell measures approximately 4.5 inches by 2 inches and is in solid relic condition.
