The following item is an original 2 inch Civil War grapeshot recovered near Fort Powhatan on The James River in Virginia. This strategic fort was also once known as Fort Hood. This 2 inch grapeshot weighs approximately one pound and is in solid relic condition.
Very nice portion of a Confederate States 24 lb. polygonal shell. This one broke into pieces as designed and left the fuse cavity. It is in excellent preserved condition and was recovered at Spanish Fort in Alabama.
