    Description

    Good-sized (0.88” diameter) lead case shot ball recovered in Suffolk, VA near the river on private property with permission. Lead shot like these were used in naval canister rounds because they wouldn’t rust.
    Civil War 13” Mortar Shell Fragment Recovered Vicksburg MS. This large artillery Frag weighs 8 lbs. 14 ounces. It has a wall thickness of 2.5 inches. These are the big shells fired from Civil War Mortar cannons as the one pictured in the last photo. This one came directly out of Vicksburg. Cleaned and treated for preservation.
