Burnside Cartridge

This is a cartridge from a Burnside Carbine.
The
Burnside carbine
was a breech-
loading
carbine
that saw widespread use during the American Civil War.
I
t has been estimated that 43 Union cavalry regiments were using the Burnside carbine during the 1863-1864 period. Additionally, 7 Confederate cavalry units were at least partially armed with the weapon during this same period.  This c
artridge is complete and  is displayed in a relic case.
This is a Set Of 4 Civil War Bullets And 2 Musket Balls. They all are in very good condition They all came from an Estate Sale in Fort Collins, Colorado. The bullets each measure approximately 15/16 inches long  by 1/2 inches in diameter. The musket balls measure approximately 3/8 inches in diameter.
