    Description

    Regulation, hi-port, Union Cavalry bit that was found in a Civil War Era barn.
    This bit is WP Wilstach & Co. It was a Philadelphia company
    .  The bit has a smooth, brown patina missing both cast brass US rosettes.
    Original Civil War heavy driving canister plate that was recovered years ago on The Antietam Battlefield. This is the plate that would have driven the canister shot and propelled them to their target. This is the bottom plate as the top plate was usually thinner and lighter. This one is in solid relic condition and is 3 inches in diameter and weighing 12 ounces. It will come in the pictured riker case for display purposes. You won't see too many of these come along anymore.
