    Danner Museum 1 1/8”Canister Shot Recovered Gettysburg Battlefield. These small canister (approximately 1 1/8”)shot were picked up on The Gettysburg Battlefield by Joel Danner of Gettysburg, proprietor of the famed Danner Museum. The museum was one of the first to display relics from the battlefield. Danner items are extremely rare and very collectible. These were at The Danner Museum and later ended up in a a Pennsylvania GAR Hall. They were later discovered with other battlefield relics marked Danner. These are fully guaranteed to be authentic as described. They will come with a copy (we have a few more of these) of the original letter of authenticity from a leading dealer in military artifacts in Gettysburg.

    Excellent reference on civil war shells.
    Important information on disposal, how to breach the casings and remove the active filler is included.
    The section titles are: Smoothbore, Confederate Rifled, Union Rifled and Miscellaneous Projectiles, Fuzes and Explosive Filler Removal and Safety Precautions. A scarce reference.
    The intent of this manual is provide the EOD technician with an identification guide for field use. Further, it will serve as a basic reference test for Civil War ordnance data, standard terminology, projectile design, and fuze operation. It is the only known publication of its kind that displays radiographs showing interior construction of projectiles for the effective removal of the main filler.
