THE BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG / THE TOP OF DEVIL'S DEN / TJE AREA OF SMITH'S US BATTERY / ROSENSTEEL FAMILY - dropped .577 caliber 3-Ring Bullet
A dropped .577 caliber 3-Ring Bullet , that was found at Devil's Den, specifically in the area of Smith's US Battery Monument. This artifact was a part of the collection of Iva Rosensteel-Rider (Born in 1887 and died in 1964), sister of George Rosensteel (founder of the Gettysburg National Museum and the famous Electric Map) so the provenance could not be better. This is the first time that this artifact is being offered for public sale and I feel very privileged in the opportunity to offer it. The Rosensteels were, of course, the most famous artifact collecting family in Gettysburg and the bulk of the relics on display at today's Gettysburg National Park Visitor Center come from the Rosensteels. A provenance letter will be provided with this relic.

THE BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG - MCALLISTER'S MILL / NEAR CULP'S HILL - ROSENSTEEL FAMILY -
Fired hard impact .577 or .58 Caliber 3-Ring Bullet with visible scrapes along sides from impact.
This very nice Fired .577 or .58 Caliber 3-Ring Bullet with very evident impact scrapes along sides, was found near McAllister's Mill at Gettysburg. McAllister's Mill, which sat on Rock Creek, was at the far right of the Union line just south of Culp's Hill. This area is very difficult to get to, and the foundation ruins of the Mill are barely visible today.
